Please read them carefully before placing an order. They explain who we are, how contracts are formed, how we supply products and the rights and responsibilities that apply between you and us.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or affects any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

4. Using Our Website
You may use our website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
- use the website in a way that breaches applicable law
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, customer accounts, servers or systems
- introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code
- interfere with the security, operation or availability of the website
- use the website fraudulently or provide deliberately false information
- infringe our intellectual property rights or the rights of others
- use automated tools to access, scrape or extract website content in a manner that breaches applicable law, these Terms or technical restrictions applied to the website
We may take reasonable steps to restrict or prevent access where necessary to protect customers, our business, the website or third parties.
5. Customer Accounts
You may be able to create a customer account to manage orders and access account features.
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate and current information
- maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- taking reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to your account
- notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised
We may suspend or restrict an account where we reasonably believe this is necessary because of suspected fraud, misuse, unlawful activity, security concerns or a material breach of these Terms.
6. Our Products
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, images, specifications, availability and other information are accurate and up to date.
However:
- colours may appear differently depending on screen and device settings
- manufacturers may update packaging or minor product presentation
- measurements may be approximate where stated
- minor differences may occur where they do not materially change the product
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights. Goods supplied to consumers must meet the standards required by applicable consumer law, including requirements relating to satisfactory quality, fitness for purpose and conformity with description where applicable.
All products offered for sale are subject to availability.
7. Product Sourcing
We are committed to supplying great products, at great prices along with great service.
We source all of our products directly from the manufacturer or their official UK distributors. We retain all supplier invoices and supporting documentation for products offered on this website.
We will never source these products from unofficial suppliers or grey market channels.
8. Placing an Order
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.
After receiving your order, we will send an acknowledgement or confirmation by email. An automated acknowledgement that we have received your order does not necessarily mean that we have accepted it.
A binding contract between you and us is formed when we expressly confirm acceptance of your order or dispatch the products, depending on the wording and sequence of the communications sent to you.
We recommend keeping your order confirmation and other relevant communications for your records.
9. When We May Decline or Cancel an Order
We may decline or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
- a product is unavailable
- we cannot authorise or verify payment
- we reasonably suspect fraud or unlawful activity
- there is an obvious pricing or product information error
- delivery restrictions prevent us from fulfilling the order
- you do not meet applicable eligibility requirements
- fulfilling the order would breach applicable law
If we cancel an order after taking payment, we will refund the relevant amount to the original payment method.
Nothing in this section affects rights that have already arisen under applicable law.
10. Prices and Payment
Prices displayed on our website are shown in the currency indicated on the website.
For UK consumer orders, displayed prices include VAT where VAT is applicable, unless clearly stated otherwise.
Any delivery charge payable by you will be displayed before you complete your order.
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes or other charges may apply depending on the destination and the delivery arrangement. Where such charges are not included in the amount paid to us, this will be explained where applicable.
We take reasonable care to ensure prices are accurate. If we identify an obvious pricing error, we may contact you before accepting or fulfilling the order to explain the issue and provide available options.
Payment must be made using a payment method offered at checkout.
11. Promotions and Discount Codes
From time to time, we may offer promotions, discounts or promotional codes.
Unless otherwise stated:
- promotions are subject to availability
- promotional codes cannot be exchanged for cash
- only one promotional code may be used per order where specified
- additional terms may apply to a particular promotion
- promotions may be withdrawn or amended where permitted by law
Any specific promotional terms will apply alongside these Terms and Conditions.
12. Shipping and Delivery
We aim to dispatch and deliver orders within the timescales stated on our website or communicated during checkout.
Delivery times are estimates unless we expressly agree a specific binding delivery date.
Delivery may occasionally be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier disruption, severe weather, customs processes or other external events.
Where a delay occurs, we will take reasonable steps to provide assistance and information.
Unless another delivery period has been agreed, applicable consumer law may require goods to be delivered within 30 days of the contract being formed.
For full information about available delivery services, destinations, charges and estimated timescales, please see our Shipping Policy.
13. Risk and Ownership
Responsibility for goods passes to you when the goods are delivered into your physical possession or to a person identified by you to take possession of them, subject to applicable law.
Ownership of goods passes to you when we have received payment in full for the relevant goods.
14. Cancelling an Order
If you wish to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
If the order has not yet been dispatched, we may be able to stop and cancel it.
If the order has already been dispatched, you may still have rights to cancel and return eligible goods under applicable consumer law and our returns policy.
For more information, please see our Order Cancellations page and Refund and Returns Policy.
15. Statutory Cancellation Rights for Online Purchases
For most goods purchased online by UK consumers, you generally have a statutory right to cancel without giving a reason within 14 days after the day on which you receive the goods, subject to legal exceptions.
Where an order contains multiple goods delivered separately, different rules may apply to when the cancellation period begins.
After notifying us of a statutory cancellation, goods should be returned within the period required by applicable law.
Certain goods may be excluded from statutory cancellation rights where a legal exception applies.
Your statutory cancellation rights are separate from any additional voluntary returns policy we offer.
Official UK guidance confirms the general 14 day cancellation right for online purchases and a further return period after cancellation.
16. Our 30 Day Returns Policy
In addition to statutory rights that may apply, we offer a voluntary 30 day returns policy for eligible items.
The conditions, process, return postage arrangements and refund information applicable to returns are set out in our Refund and Returns Policy.
Our voluntary returns policy does not exclude, restrict or replace your statutory rights.
17. Faulty, Damaged, Incorrect or Misdescribed Goods
If goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may have rights to remedies including repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Nothing in these Terms limits rights available under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer protection legislation. The Consumer Rights Act provides statutory standards for goods, including satisfactory quality.
Please contact us at sales@maxisretail.com with your order details and information about the issue.
18. Refunds
Refunds will be processed in accordance with applicable law and our Refund and Returns Policy.
Where a refund is due, it will normally be made to the original payment method unless another method is required or agreed.
Your bank, card issuer or payment provider may require additional time to make funds available after we process a refund.
19. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the website and its original content, design, text, graphics, logos and other materials are owned by, licensed to or lawfully used by Maxis Retail Ltd and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Third party trademarks, product names, logos and other intellectual property remain the property of their respective owners.
You may use the website for personal, non commercial purposes.
You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish, commercially exploit or systematically extract protected website content without permission, except where permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of intellectual property rights to you.
20. Reviews, Feedback and User Content
If you submit a review, feedback or other content to us, you confirm that:
- the content is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- you have the right to submit it
- it does not infringe the rights of others
- it is not unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, abusive or malicious
- it does not contain harmful code
You retain any ownership rights you have in your content.
You grant us a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to use, reproduce and display content you voluntarily submit where reasonably necessary to operate, improve or promote our business and services, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
We may moderate or remove content where reasonably necessary because it is unlawful, misleading, abusive, irrelevant, infringes rights or breaches these Terms.
21. Third Party Services and Links
Our website may contain links to or integrations with third party websites, platforms, payment services or other services.
Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices.
We are not responsible for the content or independent practices of third party websites or services that we do not control.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.
22. Relationship with Shopify
Our online store is hosted using Shopify.
Shopify provides ecommerce infrastructure and related services that support the operation of our website.
Purchases made from our store are contracts with Maxis Retail Ltd, not Shopify, unless expressly stated otherwise in relation to a separate Shopify service.
For information about personal information processed in connection with our website, please see our Privacy Policy and relevant Shopify privacy information.
23. Privacy and Personal Information
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.
Our Privacy Policy explains:
- what personal information we collect
- how we use it
- lawful bases for processing
- how information may be shared
- international transfers
- retention
- your data protection rights
- how to contact us about privacy matters
Please read our Privacy Policy for further information.
24. Website Availability
We aim to keep our website available and functioning properly, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error free access.
We may temporarily suspend, restrict or modify website functionality where reasonably necessary for:
- maintenance
- security
- technical changes
- legal or regulatory reasons
- circumstances outside our reasonable control
Nothing in this section affects rights relating to orders or contracts already formed.
25. Our Responsibility to You
We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by negligence where liability cannot lawfully be excluded
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- breach of statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted
- any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited
If we fail to comply with these Terms, we may be responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill, subject to applicable law.
We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, were not caused by our breach, or arise from circumstances for which we are not legally responsible.
If you use products primarily for business or commercial purposes, different legal considerations may apply.
CMA guidance warns that terms removing or limiting liability where the trader is at fault are likely to be unfair, and statutory rights cannot simply be contracted away.
26. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control
We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control where and to the extent permitted by law.
Such events may include severe weather, transport disruption, industrial action, failure of telecommunications networks, government action or other external events.
Where such an event affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and communicate with you where appropriate.
Nothing in this section affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
27. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to:
- our business or website
- legal or regulatory requirements
- services or operational practices
- security or technical requirements
The Terms that apply to a purchase will normally be those in effect when the relevant contract is formed, unless a change is required by law or otherwise lawfully agreed.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
28. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as modified or removed only to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
29. No Waiver
If we do not immediately enforce a right or provision under these Terms, this does not mean that we have waived that right or provision.
30. Transfer of Rights and Obligations
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under a contract with us without our written agreement, except where applicable law gives you a right to do so.
We may transfer our rights or obligations where reasonably necessary as part of a business transfer, reorganisation or similar arrangement, provided this does not reduce your rights under the contract.
31. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of any mandatory protections available under the law that applies to you.
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so that we can try to resolve the matter.
Consumers may bring proceedings in any court that has jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a consumer from using a court available to them under mandatory legal rules.
32. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any policies expressly incorporated into them, set out the terms governing your use of the website and purchases from us.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or affects rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
